E-therm 6.5mm
E-therm 6.5mm is a slightly lower cost alternative to the 8mm product. While the product is slightly thinner, it does have a material "R" value of R0.20 which meets the "J" section Thermal Break requirements of the BCA inAustralia,
E-therm 5mm E-therm 5mm is a lower cost alternative to the 6.5mm product. As the product is slightly thinner, it does not comply with Thermal Break requirements, in Australia as it has a material "R" value or R0.16, This being the case, it still has superior performance and will achieve better "system R values" compared to other reflective foil products on the market, which use only a "bubblewrap" type inner core.
AG "Anti-Glare"
E-therm AG means the product comes with an Anti-Glare coating on one side of the finished product. AG is usually used on new applications where direct sunlight glare could be an issue during installation. Thermotec still recommends that you use appropriate eye protection even though AG is being used.
DS "Double Sided"
E-therm DS is Double Sided bright silver and used for retro fits or underfloor applications where direct sunlight glare is not an issue.
E-therm "Breathable"
E-therm "Breathable" is a specially perforated verson of E-therm that allows vapor permeance that is often required when used on steel framed buildings in conjunction with certain types of lightweight cement type composite cladding materials. E-therm "Breathable" is available in 5mm, 6.5mm and 8mm E-therm which ensures that you can still meet the "J" section Thermal Break requirements by using either the 6.5mm or 8mm variations of E-therm.
