Thermotec Walltherm/Rooftherm - thermal wall and roof insulation

Thermotec Walltherm/Rooftherm is a semi-rigid insulation batt consisting of fire retarded, low density, closed cell polyethylene foam. It offers the same benefits and properties as Thermotec Walltherm. This product is particularly suited as an under or over Roof Membrane Insulation. It does not break like styrene foam products and can take the weight of ballast or pavers if the roof area is also subject to pedestrian traffic.

Walltherm / Rooftherm
Thermotec Walltherm / Rooftherm is for vertical and horizintal applications and can be easily cut and shaped to suit a variety of geometries. Ideal as a flat roof under or over membrane roof insulation. This product is suitable for use in all buildings and is Greenstar compliant.

Benefits to the end user and specifier of using Thermotec Rooftherm & Walltherm

• Completely free from all synthetic mineral fibres (SMF's) and therefore no special clothing including respirators is required.

Suggested Application Method for Rooftherm & Walltherm


The insulation batts shall be held in position using a Power Actuated System such as Ramset, or by using weld pins and press washers to firmly secure the insulation to the soffit of the roof or podium slab.

• A minimum of five pins per batt shall be used, preferably two at each end and one in the centre.
• All insulation shall be installed with the edges and ends tightly butted together.
• Where necessary, the insulation may be easily cut using a sharp knife.
