Buoyancy Foams 

Low Density Cross Linked Closed Cell Polyethylene foam, acid, solvent and water resistant. Innovative design to help you meet Australian Builders Plate and USL regulations for the boating industry. Available in plank 50mm thick x 1000mm wide x 2000mm long. Can be cut into strips on request. . Compliant and certified buoyancy foam with the National Register of Compliant Equipment until 2011. Special Note: Thermotec  Buoya is specifically manufactured for use in all alloy and steel construction boats and is suitable for use where it is welded into sealed compartments as well as for use in all GRP, Wooden etc. boats. 

  • Care must always be taken when welding near any Polyethylene Foam Products. Due to high temperatures, caused by welding, it is possible for P.E. Foam to ignite. We recommend the use of  a glass fibre  cloth to be placed over the foam  where welding to protect against ignition from the high temperature heat produced. Thermotec can supply the glass fibre cloth on request.

Thermotec Australia's substantial experience over the past 18 years has enabled the company to successfully offer clients a range of converting services. In particular we specialise in high volume, long run converting for OEM manufacturers and other high volume users of specialty foam components.   Products are tailor-made to meet client's requirements.  Many of the converted products are specifically designed for impact protection packaging applications but the company is also able to make a wide range of products by using its computer aided cutting, slitting, spliting, die cutting, sheeting and laminating facilities.
